- DRY-POINT A complete line of hand-sharpened tools in high
carbon steel. The special heat treatment applied
to the scrapers assures that the edge never
loses its sharpness and that the “burnisher” and
the “tip” are consistently hard. The oversized
handle provides a sure grip for improved control,
while the polished finish allows for better use of
chemical products and easier cleaning at the
end of the work day. The extra-long scraper is
equipped with a shock-resistant fibreglass handle
that is thermally attached to create a unified
structure that can even be hammered uponduring use. A - Scraper B - Tip C - Burnisher Any imperfections on the sheet (scratches, abrasions) are eliminated by the scraper and burnisher. The procedure is the following: spread a few drops of oil with the edge of the burnisher over the part of the sheet to smooth and, alternately with the scraper, try to press and flatten the surface to remove all imperfections; lastly rub with differently grained sand paper until the faulty part is completely smooth. The steel tip is the essential tool for drawing on the sheet. |
