Any imperfections on the sheets (scratches, abrasions) are eliminated by the scraper and burnisher. The procedur is the following: spread a few drops of oil with the edge of the burnisher over the part of the sheet to smooth and, alternatly with the craper, try to press and flatten the surface to remove all imperfections; lastly rub with differently grained sand paper untill the faultly part is completely smooth. The still tip is the essential tool for drawing on the sheet.
